Terraced Pool Garden
We saw a design opportunity in the hillside “challenge” to use the sloping site and sandstone boulders unearthed during the pool excavation to create a series of terraced outdoor rooms. We transformed the formerly sloping dirt hillside to a vibrant garden with room for a new swimming pool, guest cabana, and welcoming spaces for children’s play, outdoor dining, and entertaining. This garden shifts easily from a sophisticated space for adult dinner parties and cocktails by the pop-up cabana bar to cozy family time by the fire to a maker workshop venue for the artist owner to blow-out neighborhood pool parties.
